# Barn Application

> How to get on a founding sale list, and how to check one.

> Where things stand today: the application is not open, and nothing is deployed. There is no date.

The founding sale's first two stages, GTD and WL FCFS (a list stage, first come, first served), sell only to wallets on a list. The Barn Application is how you ask for a place on one. The Public stage needs no list.

> GTD means a guaranteed allocation in the founding sale. The Cashmere team announces GTD wallets in batches every 48 hours. If a GTD wallet does not buy its allocation within 48 hours, the spot goes to another applicant.

## Apply in seven steps

Applying is off-chain. It costs nothing and needs no gas. The only thing you sign is a message that proves your wallet is yours. Nobody will ask you for a transaction, a recovery phrase or a token approval to apply.

Open **Barn Application** and press **Start your application**. A short security check runs first.

**1. Connect X**

This step is required.

**2. Connect Discord**

This step is required too.

**3. Link wallets**

Link at least one wallet. Each wallet signs a message. For a Safe or another contract wallet, use **Sign with another app**: copy the message into the app that holds the wallet, sign it there and paste the signature back. Link every wallet that holds Goat Street goats or Early Goats on Ethereum or Optimism. Staked ones count too.

**4. The wallet for your Barn**

Pick a linked wallet or type in the address of another wallet you own, then tick the box that confirms it. Only that exact address goes on the list, and only that address can buy. Your Barn is minted to it, and a Barn cannot move while Deed transfers are off, so use a wallet you will keep.

**5. Your post**

Post about Mountain on X, mention @cashmerelabs and paste the post's link. One link is required, and you can add up to two more. The team reviews every post by hand.

**6. About you**

Choose what you are applying as: **Individual** (you use Cashmere or apps on Robinhood Chain), **Creator** (you make content or run a community) or **Project** (you represent a team or a protocol). You must choose one, and none of them asks for anything more. A letter is optional. It must be plain text, up to 1,200 characters.

**7. Review and submit**

Check your answers and tick the four consents. The form shows each one in full. You can add a referral code from a link you opened, but it is optional. A short security check runs, and then you submit. If something is missing, the form shows you which step it is in.

## After you apply

Open **Barn Application** and sign in with X or Discord to see your status.

| WL FCFS list, with a number | Your Barn wallet can try to buy up to that many in the WL FCFS window, first come, first served. More wallets can be listed than there are Barns |
| Left out | Your GTD spot went to another applicant because you did not buy within 48 hours of listing |
| Removed | Your list place was taken away under the rules below |
| Withdrawn | You withdrew the application |
| Not selected | Shown once the final lists are out. You have no list place |

* While the form is open, you can add a new X post about Mountain each UTC day to increase your chance of a GTD spot.
* The status page gives you a referral link and an Application card you can share on X.
* While the status page allows it, you can edit, withdraw or delete your application, and export your data.

A spot works only if your wallet is on the list set on the sale contract at the time you buy. A spot does not oblige you to buy.

## How the team decides

* Sybil wallets are removed.
* Holding and activating Goat Street NFTs increases your chance. The more you hold, the higher your chance.
* Early use of Cashmere increases your chance. This covers points, the leaderboard and earlier NFTs.
* On-chain activity on Cashmere and other DeFi protocols increases your chance.
* A wallet with a good-quality activity history increases your chance.

## Check a list

The **Checker** looks up one address in the published lists, with no signature and no transaction. **The lists page** shows each published list file.

## What can go wrong

* **A wrong Barn wallet.** Only the listed address can buy. If it is wrong or lost, you may lose your spot.
* **Messages.** We never DM you first, and we never ask for your recovery phrase. Official word comes only from x.com/cashmerelabs, the Discord server and this site.
