FAQ cover: an accordion of common questions with the pixel goat asking a question.
Goat LP is experimental. Use small amounts.

The basics

Yes: analytics, every manual tool, and auto-compound, auto-range and auto-exit on Uniswap v3 and v4, with Allow for all positions for auto-range and Auto-exit for all positions next to auto-compound. Goat LP is experimental. Use small amounts.
Analytics are free. Actions without a swap cost only gas. Manual tools that swap cost 0.65% of the swapped part. Compounding costs 10% of the fees added back; on Uniswap v4, Send fees to my wallet costs 10% of the fees collected. Auto-range costs 0.15% per move and auto-exit 0.15% once. Gas for automation runs is paid by us. Details on Fees.
No. Your position is a Uniswap NFT in your own wallet. A compound contract holds it only inside the one transaction that compounds it, and that transaction fails if the NFT does not come back.
The Goat LP contracts send every output to the position’s owner and every fee to the fee address, and they cannot be upgraded. The owner Safe cannot take positions out of your wallet or redirect your outputs. See Contracts.
Nothing. You can manage or withdraw it at Uniswap or on the block explorer, unless the pool’s hook or one of its tokens blocks it. Security shows every step.

Positions and numbers

Yes. Both mean how much less the position is worth than the tokens you deposited, held. It shrinks if the price returns to your entry and becomes final when you withdraw.
Out of range, the position gets no fees and holds only one token, so its value follows that token. Nothing is sold for you: if the price comes back, it gets a share of the swap fees again.
The pool’s fee APR spreads its fees over all of its liquidity. Yours counts only your own fees over your own deposit: your range width, your time in range and when you entered all matter.
Collect sends your fees to your wallet; it costs only gas. Compound adds them back to the position; it costs 10% of the fees added back.

Automation

Only the rules you set, within your limits: compound, move or close a position that has a rule on. The permission is for one position, or for all positions if you allow that for auto-range or auto-exit. The NFT stays in your wallet between runs, and Stop removes the permission.
On Uniswap v4, auto-compound gives no standing permission. You sign a batch of free messages instead (12 by default), and each one allows one compound of this position until the end date you pick. When 2 runs or 3 days are left, the app offers Sign N more (free). If they run out, auto-compound stops until you sign again (Sign again, or Re-enable on the card). Wallets that cannot sign these messages (Safe, 7702) allow the position once per compound instead.
A move closes the old position and opens a new one with a new number. Your settings move with it, but the permission covered only the old one. Allow #new is one tap, a network fee under a cent, no Goat LP fee. Allow for all positions removes this step.
Listed pairs with an outside price: a Chainlink price, or a deep pool Goat checks against. On Uniswap v4, pools without a hook or with a hook Goat reviewed. The Agents light on the Pools list shows it.
On Uniswap v4, a cap you set per position on the pool fee plus Uniswap’s protocol fee that a move may pay when it swaps. The default is 1% and the most is 10%. Above your cap, the keeper waits.
The position’s Automation tab says why. Common reasons:
  • Small position: runs wait until enough fees build up, so they can be far apart.
  • Auto-range: the position is too small for us to move.
  • The time between runs has not passed.
  • A price check does not pass right now, or the pair is paused for a price check.
  • The pair’s hourly swap limit is in use.
  • The swap fee right now is above the highest swap fee you set.
  • On v4 auto-compound: the signed runs are used up, past their end date or never reached the keeper, or another app is allowed to manage this position.
  • The position changed owner, or a permission is missing (for example after a move).

Pools and tokens

A Uniswap v4 hook is a contract that runs on swaps and liquidity changes. It can set a dynamic fee, take a share of swaps or make a call fail. Read the hook badge and its address before you deposit.
Stock-token pools trade around the clock, but their outside price does not always update. When it does, the pool can jump to it at once, across a whole range.
The token uses the same ticker as a listed token but is a different contract. Check the address before you trade.
