Details
Price and divergence
Price and divergence
- Divergence (impermanent loss) is final when you withdraw. Narrow ranges get a larger share of the swap fees while in range, and lose to divergence faster.
- A position can show healthy fees and still lose money against holding once divergence and gas are counted. The analytics show the split.
- Stock-token pools trade around the clock, but their outside price does not always update. When it does, the pool can jump to it at once, across a whole range.
- In a thin pool one trade moves the price a lot. The minimum in the review is what protects you.
Smart contracts
Smart contracts
- Goat contracts can contain bugs that the internal reviews missed.
- Contracts Goat LP did not write can fail too: Uniswap, Permit2, Revert Finance’s V3Utils, Chainlink feeds, every token and every v4 hook.
- A token’s issuer can pause it or block transfers. Part of a position or its fees can then be stuck.
Automation and keepers
Automation and keepers
- Runs are not guaranteed at your trigger price, or at all, while a keeper is offline or behind. In the first days after the opening, keepers are switched on in stages.
- A compound or a move runs only when its fee covers the keeper’s gas with a margin, so a small position may see few runs or none.
- A withdraw-only exit acts at the pool price when the trigger is seen, which in a fast move can be past your level. A short spike can trigger it, and the position stays closed if the price comes back.
- A swap exit waits until the pool price agrees with the outside price, so it can act later.
- Every move pays 0.15% plus a swap, and locks in the price change since the last one. A choppy price can trigger many moves.
- When price sources are missing, stale or disagree, swap-based runs wait. Safety comes first, so a run you expected may not happen.
Permissions
Permissions
- A permission on a position lets the allowed contract manage that position. Allow only the addresses on Contracts, and stop automation when you no longer want it.
- Allow for all positions covers every position of that Uniswap version in your wallet, now and later. Goat’s code acts only on positions with a Goat rule. On v3 its move limit and time between moves are kept by Goat’s system, not by the contract.
Hooks, taxes and odd tokens
Hooks, taxes and odd tokens
- A Uniswap v4 hook runs its own code on swaps and liquidity changes. It can change fees, take a share of swaps or block withdrawals for a while. A reviewed hook can still surprise.
- Some pools keep a share of every swap for the hook. That share is not a fee to liquidity providers.
- Some tokens tax transfers or refuse some addresses. Collecting or withdrawing them can fail or return less than shown.
- A token can copy another token’s ticker. Goat LP marks these Not the original. Check the address.
Analytics and the chain
Analytics and the chain
- Numbers come from Goat LP’s own index and price rules. The index can fall behind and a rule can be wrong. Check important numbers against the chain.
- APR and estimates describe the past. They are not forecasts.
- Robinhood Chain is a young network. It can slow down, stop or reorganise recent blocks.
- Use only
app.cashmere.exchange. Whatever a page shows, what your wallet displays is what you sign.
