What Mountain is

Mountain is a set of smart contracts on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663), plus a site for using them. It has one token, CSM, with one official pool. New CSM enters by a rule set in code, called Forage: a stream shared every second among Barns and bound goats, by weight. Forage builds up a balance, which becomes tokens only when you cash out. CSM leaves the supply for good when players buy Permits or pay tolls, and with half of every Gate fee. ETH from trading taxes and Barn lot sales goes to the Gatehouse, which splits it at the end of every Trek.

The island

The site is an island map. Each place has a page: Barn Application, Barn Raising, Barns, Auctions, Grazing for goats, The Trek, Base Camp for trading, The Gatehouse for fees, and Hay Bales (switched off today). You can also walk the island as a villager. The walk is for display only. Each place opens the same page as on the map, and nothing you do on the walk moves tokens.

“At launch settings” means the value a setting has when the contracts start. The owner Safe (the team’s Safe that owns the contracts) can change it within fixed limits. See Roles.

Deploy

Genesis mints 66,600,000 CSM to Base Camp, for liquidity in the Uniswap v4 pool, and 166,500,000 CSM to the Treasury Safe.

The founding sale

Up to 1,000 Barns are sold. See The founding sale.

The launch transaction

Cashmere sends it after the sale ends. This is the TGE: trading opens, and the sale ETH is split.

The launch hour

This lasts 3,600 seconds. Both taxes start at 90% and fall to 2% on a buy and 3% on a sell. When this launch schedule ends, anyone can add liquidity. See Trading.

The issuance start

This is a one-time step by the owner Safe. It comes after the launch hour and has no deadline. Forage, Trek 1 and Barn cash-outs start.

One hour later

Stall Permits, Barn lots, Shepherd order fills, goat binds and Bring In open. Raising Week, the first 7 days, begins.
There are two different hours. The launch hour is the pool’s first hour. Binds and Permits open one hour after the issuance start, which comes later.
Still off at launch: Barn Deed transfers and the secondary market (these can be enabled at any time in the future), Salt Lick and Salt Block (deployed but paused), and Hay Bales and drops. See Built, off today.
