Salt Lick and Salt Block

Salt Lick raises one goat’s level by 0.25 per step, from 1.00 to 1.25 and then to 1.50, which is the top. A higher level means more weight. On Grazing, the Bell holder picks the goat and presses Salt Lick. The price is 1.5 x the step’s weight (ladder x 0.18 x 0.25) x the toll reference, rounded up. The goat’s own balance pays first, then your wallet if you choose. A step for an In Barn goat uses the goat lane and follows its Barn’s per-roll rule. Salt Block adds a weight of 1 to a Barn whose 10 stalls are all in use. It takes no stall. On Your Barns, the Deed holder presses Salt Block, which shows only when the Barn is full. The price is the larger of 1.25 x (the higher of the last Permit close and the toll reference) and 30 days of one stall’s Forage. The Barn’s balance pays first, then your wallet. At launch settings, a Barn can have at most 2 Salt Blocks, no more than one per 24 hours, and each one takes one of the window’s 3 new stalls. A Block also needs a Permit roll that sold and closed in the last 48 hours, and room in the salt lane. At launch settings, the salt lane allows a quarter of the day’s Permit count per 24 hours across all Barns, shared with the goat lane. A Block stays with the Barn when the Deed moves, and it closes when the Barn closes. Every Salt price is burned out of supply for good (counted as retired).

A Hay Bale locks CSM from your wallet for one term of 15 days. Barn and goat balances cannot go in.
  1. Lock. On Hay Bales, enter an amount and press Lock for 15 days.
  2. At maturity, you must act. Nothing rolls over by itself.
    • Redeem gives back your CSM, with no fee.
    • Lock again for a new term locks it again.
  3. Leave early at any time, for a fee.
The early-exit fee is 2% + 13% x o^2 of the CSM you take out, at most 15%. Here, o is the early exits of the last 7 days measured against the open Bales, so the fee rises when many holders leave at once. Half the fee is burned. The other half is credited to the other open Bales, split by principal.
  • Limits: at least 666 CSM per lock, at most 666,000 CSM open per wallet, and at most 19,980,000 CSM in all.
  • Redeem and Leave early are never paused. A pause or a close stops only new locks and rolls.
  • The owner Safe can change the Hay Bale settings: the term, the limits and the top early-exit fee, up to 30%. A new top fee also applies to Bales that are already locked.

Drops (Future Ecosystem Projects)

A drop is a token payout held by one of the two drop contracts, one for Barns and one for goats. The drop contracts have no owner and cannot be paused or upgraded.
  • Registering. Anyone can register a drop of any ERC-20 after the issuance start. The shares are frozen in that same transaction. Each drop keeps its own amount, deadline and send-back address.
  • Barn drops cover either founding Barns only or all Barns. A drop is shared either by own stalls or as one share per Barn. Goats and Salt Blocks do not count. A share pays per stall as each frozen stall closes, or at exit once the Barn has fully closed. It goes to the Deed holder or, for a closed Barn, to whoever held the Deed when it was burned.
  • Goat drops count goats by their place at registration: either Grazing goats only or every live bound goat. Shares are one per goat or set by tier, from Intern 100 to King 720. A goat’s share pays out only after the goat’s cash-out, to whoever held the goat at cash-out.
  • Collecting. A Barn’s share shows on Your Barns, and a goat’s share shows on Grazing under Cashed out. You can collect to another address, but not to address 0, the drop’s own contract, the Ledger, the escrow, the drop’s own token or a goat wallet. A Barn drop also refuses the Deed and the sale contract.
  • After the deadline, anyone can send what is left back to the drop’s send-back address. A drop with a deadline of 0 never ends.

What the Terms say

  • A drop exists only once a drop contract registers it on chain. Its rules are in that contract.
  • What we say about future drops is a plan, not a promise.
