Settle a Trek
Open The Trek. It shows the Trek number, the Season and the time to the next Trek. When the clock reaches zero, anyone can press Settle this Trek. It costs only gas. Settling moves no CSM of yours. If a Trek is due, any Mountain action settles it first (up to 8 due Treks), which costs more gas. That is why the app sends the settlement first, as its own transaction. A settlement sent on its own also settles up to 8 due Treks. If more are due, send it again. The Trek
- A Trek is 3 days at launch settings. Trek 1 opens at the issuance start.
- Each Trek counts the pool’s net flow: the ETH that buys put into the pool, less the ETH that sells take out, before tax. The two buyback contracts’ own swaps are left out. A removed liquidity position counts according to what it converted: if your range sold CSM for ETH, it counts like a sale.
- Trading from the pool’s launch onward counts toward Trek 1, so it can move the Season at the second settlement.
What a settlement does
A settlement takes the Trek’s net flow and forwards the trading taxes to the Gatehouse. Then it runs the Season step, applies any settings that were waiting for it, splits the Gatehouse’s ETH, and refreshes the Deed and Goat Bell pictures and data. The Season
The Season starts at 1.00 and stays between 0.20 and 1.25. At each settlement, the slope is this Trek’s net flow plus the previous Trek’s.
The first settlement never moves the Season. The steps are fixed in code.
Large trades, including those by large holders, can move the Season and where the Gatehouse’s largest share goes. Do not read either one as a guide to anything.
Public jobs
The Trek page lists public jobs:- Reset a Barn or goats that have been left dormant for 90 days, and collect the bounty.
- Fill a Shepherd order you placed, or one that names you as its filler.
- Apply a due Deed transfer switch.
