The Treasury Safe’s 70%

At each Trek with net buying, the Gatehouse sends 70% of its ETH to the Treasury Safe (see The Gatehouse split). The plan for that ETH: With the team’s own 15% of the Gatehouse (see The Gatehouse split), this means the team and Cashmere get 50% of the Gatehouse in a Trek with net buying. The first planned strategies:
  • Basis trade, also called funding-rate arbitrage: hold an asset and an equal short position on it at the same time, so the price moves cancel out and the position collects the funding payments between traders.
  • Stock LP pools: liquidity in pools of tokenized stocks, collecting the pools’ trading fees.
Agents run these strategies by set rules, without a person placing each trade. Any strategy can lose ETH, for example when funding turns negative, a pool’s prices move apart, a venue fails, or a position is closed at a bad price. This is how the Treasury Safe plans to use its own funds. It gives no Barn, goat or CSM holder a right to anything from those strategies.

What the team plans to build

  • A URC-5 launchpad. New tokens launched the way CSM is: one official Uniswap v4 pool each, under URC-5, paired with Cashmere stock LP pools, so trading on them pays fees.
  • A funding-rate arbitrage product. The basis trade above, offered as its own product.
  • Goat LP extensions. More automated LP strategies in Goat LP, on more pools. Goat LP has its own docs and its own risks; read them before you use it.
What the Treasury Safe gets and can do is on Roles.
