The Gate fee
Every cash-out, whether of a Barn or a goat, pays the Gate fee. The fee rises when many players cash out at once. How long you have held does not matter. The app reads the exact fee and uses it to set a minimum net amount and a deadline. If the fee moves past these limits, the cash-out fails and only gas is spent. Cash-outs are never paused.- Fee rate = 2% + 58% x (P / 10%)^2, with P capped at 10%. So the fee ranges from 2% to 60% of the gross amount.
- P = recent cash-outs / the larger of (balances + recent cash-outs) and 6,660,000 CSM.
- Recent cash-outs are all cash-outs and reset bounties from the last 7 days at launch settings, plus this one. A top-up you take back inside that window does not count. Balances are all live Barn and goat balances after this one leaves.
- Goats pay the higher of this rate and a goat-only rate: the same formula over goat cash-outs and goat balances.
- After many resets, cash-outs pay more for a while, up to about 7 days, until the Herd Share from those resets has streamed back.
Where the fee goes
Half of the fee, rounded up, is burned out of supply for good (counted as retired). The other half goes to the Herd Share, along with half of each reset’s remainder. What the Herd Share gathers in each Trek streams to all live weight over the next Trek.Stay active and resets
The reset date. A Barn’s date is 90 days after the latest of: its holder’s last activity, the day the Deed arrived, the issuance start and its last reset. A goat’s date is 90 days after the latest of: its Bell holder’s last activity, its last reset and the issuance start.
What a reset takes. After that date, anyone can reset the Barn or goat. A Barn reset takes the unwithdrawn Forage above the topped-up CSM. A goat reset takes the goat’s whole balance. Of that:
- 2% goes to the caller, at most 66,600 CSM at launch settings,
- half the rest goes to the Herd Share,
- the other half is burned out of supply.
